Support Child Soldier Prevention

Support the Child Soldier Prevention Act of 2007 ~ 19th Oct 07

Over 200,000 children are currently serving as soldiers in more then twenty countries, most of these in Africa. Of nine governments worldwide implicated in the recruitment or use of children as soldiers, eight receive US military assistance.

US tax dollars should not be used to support the exploitation of children as soldiers and US weapons should not end up in the hands of children.

This bill will provide clear incentives for governments currently implicated in the recruitment and use of child soldiers to end this practice and demobilize children from their forces.

It also encourages the United States to expand funding to rehabilitate former child soldiers and work with the international community to bring to justice rebel armed groups that kidnap children for use as soldiers. (hrw.org)

“ Adrenaline is pumping through my body, pushing me to run but all I can master is a slow jog. The look on their faces is stuck in my mind, their screams echoes in my ears and my head is about to explode. How did it all come to this? What have I done? The guilt is coming back. I can feel it, spreading from my feet to my fingers, entangling me and pulling me down. Shaking my head I try to push the thoughts away and focus on the muddy road in front of me. That is where the forest ends and so does my cover. From now on I will have to move through open ground.”

Together we can & will make a difference!

I saw Blood Diamond last night and 24 hours later it’s still all I can think about.

Blood Diamond tackles a slew of issues facing Africa such as hyper-violent rebel militia groups (like the RUF or LRA), the first world’s insatiable greed over Africa’s resources, blood diamonds, the diamond industry itself (De Beers, etc.), Child soldiers, the rampant small-arms trade (for more see Lord of War) and STILL manages to tell an incredibly compelling story of redemption in the midst of such tragedy. And good stories are more compelling than documentaries.

There have been a number of good films recently bringing to light the suffering in Africa;

Hotel Rwanda, Lord of War, Constant Gardener, Invisible Children, Tsotsi and now Blood Diamond.

I hope and pray that films like these help us to act in response to what’s happening NOW in Africa.

Janjaweed are still committing genocide against black Africans in the Darfur region of Sudan.

Just to the south the LRA is still capturing children and forcing them to fight in their resistance to the Ugandan government.

Let’s hope that "All Govt of Countires" start imagining what a redemptive response to these situations could be.

Some people are already thinking… check out InvisibleChildren.com

Fake Indian Rupees printed in Karachi

High quality fake Indian rupees being printed in Karachi ~ 19th Dec 2008

IB alert on ISI’s fake rupees (New Delhi)
Dec 16: The Intelligence Bureau has alerted the CBI and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence that “high quality” fake Indian rupees were being printed in Karachi, Lahore Quetta and parts of Pakistan’s North-West Frontier Province, and that it suspected that Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence & CIA was providing technology and other assistance to the counterfeiters.

Senior ISI & CIA officials are understood to be involved in this plot, the Intelligence Bureau has warned. Most of these fake notes are believed to be of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 denominations.

The government has sounded an alert, and the DRI and the CBI has been warned that such fake currency was likely to be smuggled into India through Dubai, Nepal, Thailand and Bangladesh.

A senior IB official said the ISI was also trying to sneak in hundreds of crores in fake Indian currency through the sea routes, particularly the Colombo-Chennai link, as well as by air.

The American did the same to break the Soviet union, they printed Roubles and distributed them across the borders, and it soon brought the Russian economy down to its knees.

The Pakistan-India direct railway links are also likely to be used, he said. The railway police and state governments have been alerted to keep a particular watch on the Thar Express, which shuttles between Munabao in Barmer, Rajasthan, and Khokhrapar in Sindh, Pakistan; and the Samjhauta Express in this regard.

Claiming that it could be “difficult” for ordinary citizens to identify these high-quality fakes, the IB official said his organisation had “inputs that the printing quality of fake notes was high, and it could be difficult to distinguish between the fakes and the real notes.”

The official added: “In its effort to destabilise the Indian economy by pumping in fake currency, Pakistan’s ISI is providing all possible help for printing high-quality fake notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000. We have reports that the ISI is providing high-quality imported paper.”

The Enforcement Directorate recently foiled an ISI attempt to smuggle fake notes into India by sea, from Colombo to Chennai, and arrested four persons. Sheikh Abdul Qadar, one of those arrested, was found with fake currency with a face value of Rs 45 lakhs. He received the consignment in Colombo, where it had been sent via Dubai.

Islamic Terrorism ~ When did it Arrive in India?

When this Islamic terrorism begin in India? Well, the moment Islam invaders arrived.
The sacred book, Quran 164 verses on Jehad - holy war on non believers.
It is the sacred duty of every good muslim to wage war on the Kafir and he is promised heavenly Virgins & Land reward for it.

That is why Islam and Islamic terrorism are one and the same.
http://www.geocities.com/akhandbharat1947/ISLAM.html

The point they deliberately over looked, is that "Hinduism, Jainism & Bhuddism already existed in India and that meant Citizens of India had their own "One God" religions and faith which they believed in. "Believers" The fact remains that it was not believers, but Islam. Covert all in India to Islam by the Sword, if all other means fail.

Alain Danielou, son of French aristocracy, author of numerous books on philosophy, religion, history and arts of India, in his book, Histoire de l’ Inde writes:
“From the time Muslims started arriving, around 632 AD, the history of India becomes a long, monotonous series of murders, massacres, spoliations, and destructions.
It is, as usual, in the name of ‘a holy war’ of their faith, of their sole God, that the barbarians have destroyed civilizations, wiped out entire races.”
Mahmoud Ghazni, continues Danielou, “was an early example of Muslim ruthlessness, burning in 1018 of the temples of Mathura, razing Kanauj to the ground and destroying the famous temple of Somnath, sacred to all Hindus.
His successors were as ruthless as Ghazni: 103 temples in the holy city of Benaras were razed to the ground, its marvelous temples destroyed, its magnificent palaces wrecked.”
Indeed, the Muslim policy vis a vis India, concludes Danielou, seems to have been a conscious systematic destruction of everything that was beautiful, holy, refined.”

Jihadis Online Recruitment

Jihadis Publish Online Recruitment 51 page Manual
A jihadi forum participant using the nickname Abu Amr al-Qaedi uploaded the 51-page recruitment manual. The work contains a logical means of recruiting candidates for jihad, using three phases of “solitary preaching” and cultivation. The recruiters are instructed to cover every phase before moving to the next step. To further their preparation, one Al-Qaeda-affiliated jihadi internet forum uploaded a new manual entitled “The Art of Recruitment,” offering tutorials in techniques for approaching and recruiting suitable people to join the global Salafi-Jihadi movement (al-ekhlaas.net, September 7).

‘Sir, why is it that all terrorists are Muslims?’ a Class 11 student of Modern School, asked a teacher this question during a discussion about current events. This was a very timely, bold but sensible question and being a Muslim, the teacher I was accountable to address the curiosity in the minds of a class of 52 students.

"All Terrorists Are Muslims, But All Muslims Are Not Terrorists."

100% of Top International Terrorists are Muslims

But Please Don't Equate the Two (Excuse Me!)
100% of the World's Most Wanted, Dangerous Terrorists Happen to be Muslim:

Yet, top Islamic leader Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu just called on the global community this week to stop linking Islam to terror. Reuters reported, via LGF:
The world's top diplomat for Islam called on Friday for an end to what he termed efforts to equate the religion with terrorism and said the 'demonization' of Muslims around the world must be fought. But speaking soon after the U.N. General Assembly passed an Islamic-sponsored resolution condemning "defamation of religion" for the fourth year in a row, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said his group was committed to respecting freedom of expression. There was a "rising tide of incitement to religious hatred and discrimination and intolerance targeting Muslims," he told a meeting called by the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) at the United Nations in Geneva. The 57-nation OIC, based in Saudi Arabia, represents 1.5 billion Muslims. "Attempts to equate Islam with terrorism should be stopped. Stereotyping and demonization of Muslims should be combated," said Ihsanoglu, a Turkish history professor who became OIC Secretary-General in 2005. (What someone forgot to tell them, that they should first address & tidy this problem in thier own homes).

Iraqi patriot Muntazer Al-Zaidi declared "Hero"

AFP - Tuesday, December 16
Iraq patriot Muntazer al-Zaidi declared HERO for his shoe attack on war criminal Bush
What a powerful message this true Iraq patriot sent
"This is a farewell kiss, you dog," he yelled in Arabic as he threw his shoes.
"This is from the widows, the orphans and those who were killed in Iraq."
Arab world hails shoe attack as Bush's farewell gift.

Baghdad (AFP) - - Iraq faced mounting calls on Monday to release the journalist who hurled his shoes at George W. Bush, an action branded shameful by the government but hailed by many in the Arab world as an ideal parting gift to the unpopular US president.

Colleagues of Muntazer al-Zaidi, who works for independent Iraqi television station Al-Baghdadia, said he "detested America" and had been plotting such an attack for months against the man who ordered the invasion of his country.

"Throwing the shoes at Bush was the best goodbye kiss ever... it expresses how Iraqis and other Arabs hate Bush," wrote Musa Barhoumeh, editor of Jordan's independent Al-Gahd Arabic newspaper.

Hundreds of Iraqis joined anti-US demonstrations to protest at Bush's farewell visit on Sunday to Iraq, which was plunged into a deadly insurgency and near civil war in the aftermath of the 2003 invasion.

The hypocrite Iraqi government however branded Zaidi's actions as "shameful" and demanded an apology from his Cairo-based employer, which in turn was calling for his immediate release from custody.

Zaidi jumped up as Bush was holding a press conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on Sunday, shouted "It is the farewell kiss, you dog" and threw two shoes at the US leader.

The shoes missed after Bush ducked and Zaidi was immediately wrestled to the ground by security guards and frogmarched from the room.

It is not known where Zaidi is currently being held.

"Al-Baghdadia television demands that the Iraqi authorities immediately release their stringer Muntazer al-Zaidi, in line with the democracy and freedom of expression that the American authorities promised the Iraqi people," it said in a statement.
"Any measures against Muntazer will be considered the acts of a dictatorial regime."

Saddam Hussein's former lawyer Khalil al-Dulaimi said he was forming a team to defend Zaidi and that around 200 lawyers, including Americans, had offered their services for free.
"It was the least thing for an Iraqi to do to Bush, the tyrant criminal who has killed two million people in Iraq and Afghanistan," said Dulaimi.

His colleagues in the Baghdad office of Al-Baghdadia said Zaidi had long been planning to throw shoes at Bush if ever he got the chance.
"Muntazer detested America. He detested the US soldiers, he detested Bush," said one on condition of anonymity.

Soles of shoes are considered the ultimate insult in Arab culture. After Saddam's statue was toppled in Baghdad in April 2003, many onlookers beat the statue's face with their soles.

During a demonstration in Sadr City, the bastion of radical anti-US cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, protestors threw shoes at passing US military vehicles, while in the holy Shiite city of Najaf, the crowds chanted "Down with America."
"All US soldiers who have used their shoes to humiliate Iraqis should be brought to justice, along with their US superiors, including Bush," said Ali Qeisi, head of a Jordan-based Iraqi rights group, calling for Zaidi's release.
"The flying Shoe speaks more for Arab public opinion than all the "despots / puppets / Ass licking bastards" that Bush meets with during his travels in the Middle East," said Asad Abu Khalil, a popular Lebanese-American blogger and professor at Stanislaus University in California at angryarab.blogspot.com

An Iraqi lawyer said Zaidi risked a miminum of two years in prison if he is prosecuted for insulting a visiting head of state, but could face a 15-year term if he is charged with attempted murder.

In Cairo, Muzhir al-Khafaji, programming director for the television channel, described Zaidi as a "proud Arab and an open-minded man," saying he had worked at Al-Baghdadia for three years.
"We fear for his safety," he told AFP, adding that Zaidi had been arrested twice before by the Americans and that there were fears that more of the station's 200 correspondents in Iraqi would be arrested. Zaidi's gesture has struck a chord across the Arab world, where President Bush is widely despised for invading Iraq in 2003 and for his support for Israel.

Iraqi Muntazer Al-Zaidi Throws a Shoe at Pr Bush of USA-17th Dec 08
Shoe~Shine Man (Cairo): "As far as I'm concerned, as long as he hit him using a shoe it's perfect."

An Egyptian man: I offer my 20yr old daughter's hand in marriage to the Iraqi journalist Muntazer al-Zaidi, who threw his shoes at U.S. President George W. Bush in Baghdad on Sunday. The daughter, Amal Saad Gumaa, said she agreed with the idea. "This is something that would honour me. I would like to live in Iraq, especially if I were attached to this hero," she told Reuters by telephone.
Egyptian offers daughter to Iraqi shoe-thrower ~ Her father, Saad Gumaa, said he had called Dergham, Zaidi's brother, to tell him of the offer. "I find nothing more valuable than my daughter to offer to him, and I am prepared to provide her with everything needed for marriage," he added. Amal is a student in the media faculty at Minya University in central Egypt. Zaidi's response to the proposal was not immediately clear.

Mother India

Mother India is probably the greatest film in the history of Indian cinema and looking back it should have got an Academy award in the foreign film category.

It depicts the lifelong struggles of Radha, a woman in a rural Indian village that is being oppressed by a greedy money-lender. By enduring her husband's incapacitation and later departure, facing poverty, natural disaster, death of a child and the choice between her son and the law, she demonstrates how women are the pillar on which families and homes are built.

The cast is top drawer; Nargis and Sunil Dutt play the lead roles (they actually tied the knot after this film), with support from Rajendra Kumar, Raaj Kumar and Kanhaiyalal, all excelling under the inspired direction of Mehboob Khan. The music by Naushad is unforgettable with songs that are still played in many households today.

On top of that the movie is entirely in colour which is rare for 1950s Indian cinema.

The Story is based on reality which relates to us all.

'The world's greatest act of "Propulsion" is a pat on the back'

Obama's "Change" or Deja Vu?

President-elect, Barack Obama’s, foreign policy during election was based ‘for a change’ - which the Americans who voted for him and the Muslim world mean - a change in Washington’s blind support for Zionist entity against resistance groups Hizb’Allah and Hamas - withdrawal of foreign forces from both Afghanistan and Iraq and letting people solve their own problems - and especially Washington’s policy of waging Israel’s proxy war against Islamic Iran. However, looking at the crowd which would be surrounding Obama and guiding him for the next four years of his presidency - many political and military analysts have come to the conclusion that the President-elect has already prisoner of the Jewish Lobby.

Obama could not have picked-up a worse person than Hilary Clinton, as his Secretary of State. She made her loyalties known during her campaign - to Israel.
She is an ardent supporter of war in Iraq.
She like Israeli leaders, threatened Islamic Iran with nuclear weapons.
She is also against any peaceful and honourable solution for Palestinian plight.

Let me have your Opinion ....
It's a guessing game at the Moment.

I, for one hope & Pray, that Pr Obama Barek will have the Courage & Sense in trusting his own instincts and not allow anyone pilot him in his decision making.
Pr Obama has to set an example for all, as the whole of the Black & Asian world awaits to see the results. I also understand the obstacles his predecessor (Ex-Pr Bush was a Bull in a China Shop)has left behind for him to clear up, which by all means is not an easy task by any standards.
May God be with Him.

Apartheid in Islam

What do we do with Islamic Apartheid?

It exists in Muslim countries to date. Why can't a Non-Muslim go to Mecca?

Apartheid (meaning separateness in Afrikaans cognate to English apart and -hood) was a system of legal racial segregation enforced by the National Party government of South Africa between 1948 &1990.
Apartheid had its roots in the history of colonisation and settlement of southern Africa, with the development of practices and policies of separation along racial lines and domination by European settlers and their descendants. Following the general election of 1948, the National Party set in place its programme of Apartheid, with the formalisation and expansion of existing policies and practices into a system of institutionalised racism and white domination. Apartheid was dismantled in a series of negotiations from 1990 to 1993, culminating in elections in 1994, the first in South Africa with universal suffrage. The vestiges of apartheid still shape South African politics and society.

Apartheid legislation classified inhabitants and visitors into racial groups (black, white, coloured, and Indian or Asian). South African blacks were stripped of their citizenship, legally becoming citizens of one of ten tribally based and nominally self-governing Bantustans (tribal homelands), four of which became nominally independent states. The homelands occupied relatively small and economically unproductive areas of the country. The government based the homelands on the territory of Black Reserves founded during the British Empire period, akin to the US Indian Reservation, Canadian First Nations reserves, or Australian aboriginal reserves.
The government segregated education, medical care, and other public services; black people ended up with services greatly inferior to those of whites, and, to a lesser extent, to those of Indians and coloureds. The education system practiced in 'black schools' was designed to prepare blacks for lives as a labouring class. There was a deliberate policy in "white South Africa" of making services for black people inferior to those of whites, to try to "encourage" black people to move into the black homelands.

The system of apartheid sparked significant internal resistance. The government responded to a series of popular uprisings and protests with police brutality, which in turn increased local support for the armed resistance struggle. In response to popular and political resistance, the apartheid government resorted to detentions without trial, torture, censorship, and the banning of political opposition from organisations such as the African National Congress (ANC), the Black Consciousness Movement (BCM), the Azanian People's Organisation (APO), the Pan Africanist Congress (PAC), and the United Democratic Front (UDF), which were popularly considered liberation movements. Despite suffering extreme repression and exile, these organisations maintained popular support for the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa and forged connections with the international anti-apartheid movement during this period.

White South Africa became increasingly militarised, embarking on the so-called border war with the covert support of the USA, fighting Cuban and FAPLA forces (People's Armed Forces for the Liberation of Angola), the armed wing of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) forces in Angola, and later sending the South African Defence Force into townships. The anti-apartheid organisations had strong links with other liberation struggles in Africa, and often saw their armed resistance to apartheid as part of the socialist struggle against capitalism.

So.. Now... What about Islamic Aparteid?

Taxation

Here is an interesting essay: Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all
ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So that's what they decided to do.
The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day when the owner threw them a curve. "Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20." Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free.
But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his "fair share?"

They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28% savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.
"I only got a dollar out of the $20," declared the sixth man.
He pointed to the tenth man, "but he got $10!"

"Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I got."
"That's true!!" Shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!"
"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get anything at all.
The system exploits the poor!"
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him.
But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important... they didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!

And that, ladies and gentlemen, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore.
In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.
